These are scary times. For some your situation seems impossible to escape. All hope is lost. You have been making sacrifices to hold onto what you have, or maybe you don't have any options left. If that is your situtation and you feel there is nothing you can do but simply let go, I encourage you to hold on to what is real and eternal.
When there is nothing left to look forward to in this life, do what Moses did: he endured, as seeing him who is unseen (Hebrews 11:27). Keep your eyes firmly fixed on the One who invisible, for in him lies all hope.
We have been promised a better life; an etertiny in the presence of God's glory. It is a gift to those who wait, who believe, who hold onto hope.
If Jesus was willing to walk through a crowd of enemies, willing to be pysically tortured and willing to die on the cross in order to bring us this gift, shouldn't we also be at least willing to stay here and face the trials ahead? Though you walk into the midst of uncertainty and though tomorrow looks bleak, there is a dawn on the horizon. You can be faithfully optimistic having put your faith entirely into the One who died on the cross to save us from our sins. Hope is in Christ alone.
These are scary times. We don't know that things will get better. Maybe, they will get worse. There are no guarantees in this life. So, what do have to look forward to?
That God is faithful. That we have been delivered. That the worst really is behind us. It was nailed to the cross.
--We have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all people, and especially of those who believe. 1 Timothy 4:10
--We rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance character, and character hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. Romans 5:2-5
--Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:31
--May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13
